The Gimli Yacht Club delivers sailing programs supported by volunteers. Like many seasonal clubs, it operates on a modest scale but handles a high volume of participant communication and coordination. Prior to using Checklick, the registration process relied heavily on manual steps and informal commitments, which created challenges for both staff and families.

Registrations were managed manually, which proved both time-consuming and inefficient. Organizers handled signups through email, and payments were typically made by cash or cheque – often not collected until after the program had ended. Each registration required a manual confirmation, and many members would register verbally in person, making commitments difficult to track. As a result, chasing down registration fees stretched well into the fall.
